There is no one in the world who has not heard of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. Ramakrishna Paramahamsa hardly had any schooling. How did he become so great ? It is only because of his spiritual wealth. He is hailed thus by Sri Aurobindo: "In the life of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa we see a colossal spiritual capacity first diving straight into the Divine realisation, taking it as it were the kingdom of heaven by force and seizing upon one yogic method after another and extracting the substance out of it with an incredible rapidity always to return to the heart of the whole matter, the realisation and possession of God by the power of love, by the extension of inborn spirituality into various experiences and by spontaneous play of an intuitive knowledge."

He is an exponent and practitioner of the Vedic Maxim - "Ekam sad vipraah bhaudaah vadanthi." "Truth is one but many describe it in many ways." He also practiced in daily life the salient features of Indian culture; "isaavaasyam idam sarvam", and "Service to humanity is services to divinity."
