This table shows the letters of the Enochian language
with their nearest equavalent in the Roman alphabet. This alphabet
and the language that is written with it were transmitted to
Dr. John Dee and Sir Edward Kelly by a pręternatural intelligence
which they referred to as Angels. These characters are the proper
alphabet for the Enochian Tablets and the Enochian language
is the proper language for the Enochian Calls or Keys used to
invoke the angles.
The Enochian language has been the subject of much study
over the years since Dee and Kelly and it has been shown to
be a true language, unlike examples of glossolalia, the "Speaking
in Tongues" of certain fundamentalists, which have been
shown to be gibberish.
The method of transmission of this language to Dee and Kelley
and the character of the two men make it a virtual impossibility
that this language and the messages in it are a fraud. Dee was
brilliant, pious and scrupulous to a fault. Kelley, while neither
pious nor scrupulous was also far too dull wited to have manufactured
